The country is turning green, with the green industry having reached a record-high in 2015, according to the government.
According to a recent report by the Indian Statistical Institute, green industry grew at an annual rate of 3.8% from 2015 to 2016.
In comparison, the industry grew by just 0.2% in 2015.
The institute also said that the green economy is expected to create about 200,000 jobs in the country by 2026.
The green economy will also provide about 2.6 million jobs for rural India.
As of April this year, the country has more than 7,300 companies that produce products including plastic bottles, solar panels, wind turbines, solar tiles, and batteries.
