A cabinet made of a greased-up grease monkey has been unveiled by an oil-producing company.
The Grease Monkey Industrial Cabinet, made of recycled grease brushes and industrial parts, was unveiled by a South Australian company on Tuesday at the Adelaide Art Gallery.
It features a range of industrial equipment including a large machine to remove grease, an industrial grinder to grind grease, a bucket to collect grease from the air, and a large, glass box to store grease.
The cabinet was created with the help of industrial design student, Claire Martin.
“It was made with the grease monkey as the inspiration for the design,” she said.
“We wanted to give it a touch of whimsy.
The design has always been based on grease, so the idea of making something like that is very much inspired by grease.”
The cabinet is currently being sold in Adelaide, Perth and the Northern Territory.
